Britannia

This detailed technical engraving of the famous Locomotive "Britannia" has been
diamond engraved into black polished aluminium. The profile line drawing has
taken many hours of digitising by our team of experienced designers.

Mounted onto a 9" x 7" verneered plinth it is easily fitted to the wall
with the wall hanging slot.

The first BR standard engine to be completed was No.70000 Britannia in Jan 1951.
After working trials between Crewe and Carlisle in plain black livery and without nameplates, No.70000 re-entered Crewe works to be painted in the standard livery
of Bruswick green with orange and black lining.

Today it is owned by Pete Waterman and is kept at the Crewe Heritage Centre.
